Fan Fest will feature some of Saint Paul’s best food vendors, drinks, music and interactive games to get fans excited prior to the games. Admission is free to Fan Fest both days.


Thursday, March 15: 7-8:30 p.m. CT
Xcel Energy Center (Gate 1 doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

Skate on the official ice of the Frozen Faceoff and Minnesota Wild! Admission is free but skate rental will NOT be available, so please BRING YOUR OWN SKATES. No shoes will be allowed on the ice. No sticks, pucks, etc. are allowed on the ice as well, while all skaters will be required to sign a waiver.

After the games each night, fans should head over to New Bohemia Wurst + BierHaus and the Seventh Street Truck Park, located down 7th Street from Xcel Energy Center, for the official NCHC Post-Game Party. Specials available.

Considered one of the finest arenas in the world, Xcel Energy Center is a one-of-a-kind, multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility located in downtown Saint Paul, home to more than 150 sporting and entertainment events and roughly 1.7 million visitors each year. Xcel Energy Center opened on Sept. 29, 2000 and has been home to the NHL’s Wild ever since. In addition, the arena hosts the Minnesota State High School League Boys’ & Girls’ Hockey Tournaments annually and has previously been the home of both the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s (WCHA) championship weekend and the Big Ten’s championship tournament. Other hockey-related events held at Xcel Energy Center include the 2002 and 2011 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four, the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, the 2004 NHL All-Star Game, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
